Aerophone GO Update Procedure (Android)
INTRODUCTION
Updating the Aerophone GO is carried out using Aerophone GO Plus, the dedicated smartphone app for the Aerophone GO.Before you start, download Aerophone GO Plus to your smartphone.
* When carrying out the update, use a USB AC adaptor. At this time, set the Power Select Switch to [ USB ].
* Before you start, connect your smartphone to an AC power source as well, or check to make sure the phone has ample remaining battery power.
* Never turn off the power to the Aerophone GO or the smartphone while the update is in progress.

Functionality Improvement
- Improved the operation when turning on the bite control switch.
The following bugs were fixed.
- When the keys are operated, the change in pitch due to the bite control is cleared.
- When you breathe in, the volume drops momentarily.
[ Ver.1.03 ] (AUG 2018)
- This corrects the problem of the Aerophone GO returning to its default values when the power is turned off after changing settings on the Aerophone GO.
UPDATE PROCEDURE
Step 01: Update the Aerophone GO Plus app to the latest version.
Use the latest version of Aerophone GO Plus to carry out the update for the Aerophone GO.
Follow the steps below to check whether the Aerophone GO Plus app is at the latest version.

- Access Aerophone GO Plus.
- If the download icon is displayed as [ Update ], tap the icon to update the app to the latest version.
* If it is displayed as [ Start ], the app has already been updated to the latest version.
* If [ Download ] is displayed, download the app. The latest version is downloaded.
Step 02: Connect to Aerophone GO Plus (Android).
- Place a smartphone on which the Aerophone GO Plus app is installed near the Aerophone GO.
- Set the Aerophone GO's [] switch to the position.
The Bluetooth LED (blue) flashes. - Go into the smartphone's settings and turn on the Bluetooth function.
* If "AE-05" is displayed in the "Available devices" list, don't tap it yet. - Start the Aerophone GO Plus app.
* If the message "Allow Aerophone GO to access this device's location?" appears when you start the app, tap [ ALLOW ]. - If the Aerophone GO and Aerophone GO Plus have previously been connected, then when Aerophone GO Plus starts, the message "Connected to Aerophone GO" is displayed and the Bluetooth LED (blue) lights up.
* If the "Bluetooth MIDI Devices" screen appears when you start Aerophone GO Plus, tap [ AE-05 ] to establish the connection. Make sure the message "Connected" is displayed, then tap [ Back ]. - When the message "Connected to Aerophone GO" appears, tap [ OK ].

* If the connection fails to be established after starting the Aerophone GO Plus app, follow the steps below to make the connection.
* Depending on usage conditions, "AE-05" might be displayed as "AE-05 1" or the like.
* Updating is also possible when the Aerophone GO and smartphone are connected using one of the included USB cables (micro B or Type C).
When doing this, set the power select switch to [ BATTERY ] to operate the Aerophone GO on battery power.
* Check to make sure the Aerophone GO and the smartphone have ample remaining battery power.
* If the connection fails to be established after starting the Aerophone GO Plus app, follow the steps below to make the connection.
- Tap [ Connecting with a different Aerophone GO ].
- Tap [ Bluetooth MIDI Devices ].
- Tap [ AE-05 ] to establish the connection.
- At "Bluetooth Pairing Request," tap [ Pair ].
- The message "Connected to Aerophone GO" appears and the Bluetooth LED (blue) lights up.
* Depending on usage conditions, "AE-05" might be displayed as "AE-05 1" or the like.
* Updating is also possible when the Aerophone GO and smartphone are connected using one of the included USB cables (micro B or Type C).

Step 03: Check whether the updater is present.
When a connection is established between your Aerophone GO and Aerophone GO Plus, a check for the presence of the updater is made automatically.
If an updater exists, the message "There is a new version of Aerophone GO system software. Would you like to update now?" is displayed. Tap [ OK ].
Refer to "Step 04: Update method" and apply the update.

Step 04: Update method
- The Roland Software License Agreement is displayed. Read through it to the end.
When you reach the end, the message "I AGREE" is displayed. Tap to select and apply a check mark. - Tapping [ Update ] starts the update to the Aerophone GO.
* If the "Bluetooth MIDI Devices" screen appears when you tap [ Update ], tap [ AE-05 ] to establish a connection again. Make sure the message "Connected" is displayed, then tap [ Back ].
* The update requires approximately 2 minutes to finish. - When the update is complete, the message "Update finished, Please restart Aerophone GO" appears.
Tap [ CLOSE ] and turn the power to the Aerophone GO off and back on. - Check to make sure the Aerophone GO has been updated to the latest version.
1. At the home screen in Aerophone GO Plus, tap [ SYSTEM ].
2. The current version is displayed in the version field.
